CWP participates in the European Water Technology Week 2022

The European Water Technology Week 2022 took place in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands, from 19th to 22nd September. This event organised by the Water Alliance, the Dutch water cluster, aims to provide a contact point for representatives of the international water sector. CWP project manager Sergi Compte attended the event, taking part in one of the plenary sessions and leading one of the parallel sessions.
The plenary session on the 19th, entitled “Connecting International clusters and innovations” included a presentation by BCI Global, followed by two round tables, with CWP taking part in the second one. The debate was held together with The Water Council, the France Water Team and the Danish cluster CLEAN. Discussion was held on the role of international linkages as a lever to promote R&D in the water sector, commenting on the success stories and strategies of each of the participating clusters. On the 21st, the CWP, represented by Sergi Compte, participated in one of the parallel sessions, which dealt with how to respond to the effects of climate change in urban environments and was held jointly with ENVAQUA and WETSUS. In this session, the Welliance project was presented as a success story for the export of innovative technologies that respond to the challenges of the tourism sector on an international scale.
The European Water Technology Week was a success in terms of the number of participants and the generation of opportunities for collaboration between the different agents in the sector.
