Trobada amb el Water Alliance d’Holanda – Get in touch with the Dutch

Last Tuesday, November 10  the Catalan Water Partnership together with the water cluster in the Netherlands, the Water Alliance, organized a virtual session to learn about the water technology markets in both Catalonia and the Netherlands. Around 60 companies from both clusters registered for the event, which included a presentation session of the two markets, and also 6 pitch presentations of companies from both cluster. Moreover, a virtual matchmaking session followed from the 10th to 13th November, where the registered members had the opportunity to schedule B2B meetings with the objective of finding business partners or international collaborations.

From the Catalan side, the cluster manager Xavier Amores presented the CWP and the water market in Catalonia followed by the Project Manager Eric Santos who introduced the most relevant challenges in catalan water sector, such as digitalization and circular economy. On behalf of the CWP, Laura Morera (Business Developer in Uniones Arpol), Anicet Blanch (CTO of Bluephage) and Alberto Hernández (Export Manager at ITC Dosing Pumps) were the speakers that presented their company, products or technology as well as their interests with the Dutch market.

On behalf of the Water Alliance, Harro Brons International Business Development Manager of the Dutch cluster presented the water market in the Netherlands and some of the challenges in the sector as well as cutting-edge technologies for water treatment. Company pitch presentations were carried out by Pieter de Jong (Country Manager of Bluecon), Robert Gerard (in NXFiltration) and Amaia de Ugarte (Sales Manager in Pure Water Group) who presented their companies and current interests in de Catalan/Spanish market.

As a general overview, more than 50 water professionals attended the webinar to learn about both water markets and get to know the cluster members that pitched, and more than 20 B2B meetings were held in the matchmaking sessions involving more than 18 companies.
