THE PHASE OF DIAGNOSTIC VISITS TO FOOD COMPANIES IN GALICIA FINISHES AFTER THE NEXADA PROJECT

The NEXADA project, co-financed by the European Union and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, as part of the 2022 call for Innovative Business Groups (AEI) (2nd call), is a feasibility study with the aim of promoting collaborative projects that improve the efficiency of water use in the food sector. The GAIA, Clusaga and CWP clusters participate in this project. During the months of November and December, three webinars were held where successful cases of water management solutions and digital solutions aimed at the beverage, dairy and canned seafood subsectors were presented. In this case, 9 CWP associates were able to exhibit: ACO, Anthesis Lavola, Createch360, LEITAT, Sensotec, CT BETA, SPIN, Bluephage and Aquatec. In addition, within the framework of the NEXADA project, from Monday 30 January to 2 February, 10 personalized visits took place to Galician companies in the subsectors mentioned in order to make a diagnosis of the efficiency of the water cycle, its degree of digitization and related challenges and/or problems. With the identification of common challenges, the next step of the project will be to conduct workshops with CWP partners, GAIA digitization companies and food companies in order to find smart solutions that bring them closer to a more sustainable and efficient use of the water cycle.
