S’aprova el projecte d’R+D SUGGEREIX amb finançament de l’ACA coordinat per Eurecat amb la participació del CWP i dos socis del clúster més: ICRA i CETAQUA

The SUGGEREIX project is financed by the Catalan Water Agency in its line of support to R&D for the water sector and has a budget of 321,727 euros. Its objective is to integrate the existing knowledge on the regeneration of treated wastewater, in order to provide information that will facilitate the management of pollution by chunks, heavy metals and of microbiological origin.

With the aim of achieving this goal, this initiative will be developed along several lines of work that will

  • To create a database containing all the relevant reuse initiatives that have been carried out both in Catalonia and worldwide.
  • To design a decision support system (SAD) that will allow the different actors involved in the reuse initiatives to determine the best methodologies to treat water based on its potential pollutants, also considering their typology and dangerousness and finally
  • Write a practical guide to serve as a reference for future reuse initiatives and to help implement them safely and efficiently.

The SUGGEREIX project is led by the Eurecat technology centre and includes several CWP partners such as the Catalan Institute for Water Research (CIWR), the Cetaqua technology centre and the Catalan Water Partnership itself, as well as the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). The collaboration of the different members of the consortium will make it possible to establish, at a global level, a methodology to quantify the expected benefits and the potential critical points of the existing and planned reuse actions at a Catalan but also international level.
